The Liberty Series Novels

I wanted to take a moment to describe the direction of the Liberty Novel brand moving forward. The best place to begin I suppose, is at the beginning; the ‘Liberty Trilogy’ consisting of ‘Liberty’s Dawn’, ‘Defending Liberty’, and ‘Liberty’s Revival’ make up the CORE of the ‘Liberty Series’ novels. The Trilogy was joined in 2015 by a companion novel titled ‘The Hermit on the Hill’ and has served as a sort of 'teaser' short story to 'Liberty's Revival' as it is taking quite a time to finalize and complete. ‘The Hermit on the Hill’ story arc has become an integral concept and piece to Book Three, and I encourage anyone who hasn't read it to look it up. It's very short (166 pages) and inexpensive, but adds a great deal to the preparation for Book Three.

The 'bookend novels' I had as concepts in my mind are still under consideration with elements of the theorized ‘book zero’ being incorporated into Book Three of the Trilogy as it added historical reference and became important to the structure for the temporal framework of the conflict. History can be considered someone's 'Futures-Past' when viewed in a skewed fashion; we tend to see things the simplest way, the way it's easiest to grasp... when the reality is not always that plain to see.

The previously proposed 'Book Zero' has been scrapped as a stand alone novel for now, but slated for inclusion in part into Liberty's Revival. The proposed post trilogy "Liberty's Revenge" story remains a distant project and could be produced one day. Rest assured, I will take great consideration in my endeavor to assure maximum suspense for the reader and the release dates will remain a constant consideration for timeliness.

‘Liberty's Revival’ has proven to be quite a challenge and has taken years to flesh out. A number of time lines planet wide come together in Book Three, as well as the events most are familiar with. The knowledge of Books One and Two, one could surmise that Book Three will bring our friends to another one of Americas domestic conflicts... and they would be correct, Americas Civil War years of 1861 thru 1865. These are brutal years for the nation, and all of my readers are well aware of these facts. This is one of the reasons why Book 3 is a two-fold challenge; I want the history to be accurate and I don't want to write a book about the Civil War-- that has been done before, many times. "Liberty's Revival" is not a book about the Americas Civil War, it just takes place in the years during Americas Civil War and explores aspects, both social and political, and applies them to our friends conflict which they are now mortally embroiled in.

I hope you enjoy these adventures into America’s past, and stay tuned for the rest of the adventure !

   - Fascinating in concept, Liberty’s Dawn mixes the sophistication of a seasoned novelist, an accomplishment from a new writer. Meticulous editing sets this polished book apart from similar titles often rushed into production.

   - Packed with sparkling humor and enriched with period detail, Theocles brings to life a setting far removed from our own—it is an admirable title with educational value. For those who enjoy museums of living history, reenactment camps, and rustic immersion in the outdoors more than fleshed out characters, this carefully researched adventure novel will meet expectations.

   - The first of a trilogy, Theocles ably works the winning combination of time travel and war.
